A map shows the different sections and pickup schedule for waste collection in Providence.

As of October 1, 2023, the waste collection schedule for Providence City, as contracted by Logan City, will change. All city streets will be divided into four sections, with pickup running Monday-Thursday.

To verify your pickup day, please visit mygarbageday.logancity.org. There, you can see the map, or enter your address to find your collection schedule. Providence City will begin its own waste collection services in the spring of 2024, and the pickup schedule set now should remain the same then.

Recycling will begin with Week A the week of October 2 and Week B the week of October 9. If this adjustment causes you to miss a week of recycling, you will be permitted to leave a one-time bag of recyclables next to your garbage can.

Change is hard, so Providence City will be doing its best to keep you aware and in the loop. Be on the lookout for a postcard in the mail, as well as text and email reminders. Sign up for Pipeline text notifications to be reminded of these changes, as well as other city-wide information.
