Providence City Complaint Policy


Providence City strives to promote and maintain a safe and appealing community that protects and promotes the health, safety, order, prosperity, and general welfare of the present and future inhabitants of the City. The City desires to enforce the City Code, and other applicable codes, rules, and regulations in a fair and uniform maner. This is done by educating and working with residents, businesses, and property owners in a fair, friendly, impartial manner; which includes responding to concerns and complaints. The following is the City's Complaint Policy:
  1. No anonymous complaints. The complainant's name must be given to Ctiy Staff and/or Officials; but may be kept confidential.
  2. Upon receiving a complaint the City Staff will send a warning letter to the alleged violator describing the the violation and givng them a specified amount of time to correct the violation.
  3. A notice will also be sent to the complainant advising them the alleged violator has been notified.
  4. If the violation continues, a citation may be issured by the Cache County Sheriff's Office or other designated official and processed through the appropriate court.
